An Introduction to Moonrakers
"Moonrakers feels different in a crowded market."
"Moonrakers has quickly found itself in my top 10 all-time favorite games."
"I'm dying to play this game again and again!!!"
Contracts are completed by playing action cards from your deck to fulfilll the requirements on the contract.
Ship parts give you permanent abilities and add basic action cards to your deck. Crew are added directly to your deck and have powerful special abilities when played.
Big rewards, less risk. Negotiate a split of the rewards with your table-mates and use both of your action decks to complete the most difficult contracts. However, first to 10 prestige wins, so don't be too generous in the late game...

I am currently serving in the U.S. military, and we found this board game one day in the office. We didn't know anything about it, and we decided to start playing it one day, and then we played again and again and here we are over a month later and we can not get enough of this game. I could play all day and all night if I could. It started with just five of us playing it, then the number doubled and then doubled again, and theres a bunch of us that swear we're gonna buy the game when we come home. This game is highly addictive and so much fun to play, especially the negotiating. That part is always the most exciting (even if not everyone agrees to the terms)

This game is amazing. The right level of complexity with superb negotiation which is mostly only positive engagement with others! If you love social games and also enjoy deck building, this is an easy MUST HAVE!

A deckbuilder similar to Dominion in that your "turns" only allow one action (card play), but certain cards will give you more actions, allowing you to chain for more complex turns. In addition, it adds a layer of negotiation and random chance to every contract, making it feel really satisfying to play, as it not only becomes an issue of developing an engine, but also a social process too. The game just feels fun to play regardless of whether you're winning or losing.

I was a bit afraid of the negotiation phase but it keeps you actively involved during other players turns. The deck/engine building is very well done and specially because all cards are unique.

Really love the interaction between the players
Many deck builders are missing that interactive piece and this game adds that. Does increase playtime, but was enjoyable. The selection of upgrades and crew were unique that everyone’s deck played very different.

This is one of my top three games. It has incredible replay value. The mechanics are easy to learn. The art on the game is beautiful. It's a well executed deck builder that also adds a social element. You can negotiate, collaborate or betray others!
FAQ
Some of the most asked questions about Moonrakers
What's the best thing about Moonrakers?
The constant player interaction. We set out to make a deck-building game that required constant interaction with the other players—and that's exactly what we made.
How complex is Moonrakers?
Moonrakers BGG 'weight' is just slightly higher than Settlers of Catan. If you've played Catan or anything similar, you won't have a problem with Moonrakers.
Are there any reasons my game group wouldn't enjoy Moonrakers?
Moonrakers requires regular negotiation and cooperation in the early and mid game. If your group doesn't like negotiating or working together, you won't have fun.
Does the base game organizer fit cards sleeved?
Yes! And we sell a sleeve pack that comes with all the sleeves you'll need if you don't want to source your own.
