In Brink, players command a fleet of small, medium, and large starships, placing them across a sprawling galaxy to gather resources, upgrade ships, hire Ambassadors, and manipulate the rules of the game with powerful Riders. Every placement shapes your strategy, opening new regions to explore and presenting new opportunities for resource trading, an essential engine for influencing the end-of-round Council vote, where players secretly vote on which hexes score points.
Across three rounds, players retrieve their ships, reposition their strategy, and adapt to an ever-evolving map. With customizable starship upgrades, shifting Faction goals, and countless paths to victory… heavy vote control, raw exploration, or focused specialization, Brink delivers a dynamic, high-interaction experience where every choice ripples across the galaxy and no expedition plays the same way twice.
Vibrant trading and worker placement are your tools for forging alliances based on mutual benefit.

Gameplay overview
Employ faction alignment, trading, negotiation, and political influence to tilt the balance of power.
Deploy your fleet
Each turn you’ll place one of your three ships. Each placement is an opportunity to explore more of the galaxy, gain faction power, and gather more influence cubes.
Wield Influence
On your turn you’ll perform the actions on the tiles next to your ship: hire ambassadors, gain action cards, upgrade a ship, or even change the rules with riders.
Perform actions
On your turn you’ll perform the actions on the tiles next to your ship: hire ambassadors, gain action cards, upgrade a ship, or even change the rules with riders.
Control the council
At the end of each round, players vote on which factions will score points, which is then multiplied by the amount of power each player has in that factions color.

“This is a worker placement game with tons of player interaction in a great way. I love adding the negotiation element and resource sharing into an interesting strategic game.”
“Brink offers a great mix of euro mechanisms and enjoyable player interaction! As someone that doesn’t typically love negotiation and voting, IV has managed to create a game I have really enjoyed! Way to go!”
"End games have ALWAYS felt tense, where it’s all down to that final agenda reveal, which is probably some of the best things you can hope for in a game with friends."
In Brink, in each of three rounds you’ll deploy three ships to any unoccupied location in the galaxy. Each placement rewards you with resources, actions, and power. The resources, in the form of influence and favors, are traded amongst players and can be used to recruit ambassadors, upgrade ships, and—most importantly—vote on which factions earn points each round. The factions with the two most influence score points, but voting isn’t always so simple, with players allowed to attach legislative speed bumps in the form of ryders. Throughout the game you’ll be balancing your own ambitions with the aspirations of your opponents. Allies become enemies and foes friends as the politics of entire star systems shift under your influence.
Collect power & influence
Three sizes of ships, three important decisions. Placement determines faction alignment, resource collection, and action selection.
Resource types
Standard influence resources go directly to your inventory and can be traded orused freely. Resources with white outlines, known as favors, must be traded by the end of your turn or they return to the bank.
Action selection
Placement determines what actions you can take on your turn. These include hiring ambassadors, upgrading ships, or collecting ryder and action cards.
Vote for power
Each of the three rounds ends with players using their influence resources to vote on which faction alignments turn into victory points. Votes are hidden until simultaneously revealed, and only the top two factions receive points. Strategically aligning yourself with the desires of your fellow players goes a long way toward winning votes.
Ambassadors & upgrades
Aside from voting, your resources—combined with faction power—can be used to secure permanent advantages. Collect more resources, secure more power, and exert more influence to better control your ambitions.
Ryders & actions
Attach ryders to votes to manipulate the outcome by various means. Boost or devalue certain types of influence,
