A new kind of deduction game

Can you hide in plain sight?

2-8 Players | 60-120 Minutes

Discover strategic deduction

A unique combination of strategy and social deduction for anyone who loves table-talk. Use strategic positional play and secret voting to influence the fate of 9 demigods. Discern the motives behind your opponents moves to unravel their plans, while cementing your own.

A unique take on two iconic genres

Veiled Fate mixes the careful planning of mainline strategy games with the player interaction of social deduction games, blending the genres into something we call strategic deduction.

Perfect for every game night

Veiled Fate can be enjoyed as a 2 player duel, 8 player showdown, or anywhere in-between. Small setup changes ensure every player count is balanced and fun.

Kind to any personality

Whether you’re boisterous or reserved, Veiled Fate offers a path to victory. Overt misdirection is equally matched by quiet planning in every game.

"IV Studio refer to Veiled Fate as a 'strategic deduction' game and frankly... they nailed it! We had a great time. I seriously cannot wait to play this game over and over again with friends and family! It's gorgeous, plays perfectly, and is very approachable."

Veiled Fate in 120 Seconds

01

A secret lineage

At the beginning of the game, each player is secretly assigned a demigod. This demigod is your offspring, kept secret from the other players until the end of the game.

02

Hide in plain sight

As a celestial being, you have the power to command the movement of all nine demigods. Since the identity of your demigod is known only to you, use positional strategy and influence fate to ensure your heir ends the game with the most renown.

03

Tip the scales of fate

Using fate cards to secretly vote when completing quests allows you shape outcome in the way that's most advantageous for your demigod. At the end of the third age, the demigod with the most renown ascends to the throne. Will it be you?

2 Players

At the lowest player count, every game is a classic duel of wits. There are 7 non-player demigods on the board, leading to ample opportunity for misdirection. Do you know your opponent well enough to deduce their true intentions?

3-5 Players

In a mid-sized group, it's every player for themselves, with a minimum of 4 non-player demigods. Keeping yourself hidden while earning points is an endless game of cat & mouse.

6-8 Players

When you reach the higher player count a new mechanic enter the game—teamwork. Each player has a teammate working towards the same goal... but, just like your enemies, the identity of that teammate is unknown.

Capture the throne

A party game for gamers who don't like party games

Veiled Fate has all the tell-tale signs of a party game—exciting reveals, laughable moments, anger-inducing outcomes—packaged in a sophisticated strategy game with constant tactical decision-making.

Veiled Fate is such a masterpiece. It truly is the best mixing of social deduction and strategy you could have. The gameplay is simple like social deduction, but the strategy requires a depth of thinking on par with other strategy games. With enough twists and turns through Age and City Cards, the game isn't over until the very end. Having to balance secrecy with strategy is something that few other games have and something that Veiled Fate exceeds in.

Very simple to learn and quick go play, even with a group that notoriously exceeds recommended play times for other games. Games can often end with some surprising reveals! All of the components are top notch too!

It has all the positives of a hidden role, deduction game, without player elimination. First couple of plays have been a blast!

I can't recommend this game enough for any count of players. I've played it with both new gamers and veteran players, all amazing sessions. One of the best I've played this year.

Social deduction without any of the shouting and finger pointing. IV do a great job at creating a game that feels unique with tried and tested mechanisms.

Fabulous production. Fantastic at all player counts with it feeling different for each. They've absolutely nailed this one. This is my go to social deduction non party game.

Played at 2 players to give it a try. I feel this game is good from 3+ players, because then the moves and opportunities are more interesting!I definitely want to dig more into it!

Update: second play at 8 players. I wasn't sure that my group would like it, but it was instantaneously a hit: great discussions, great laughs, very engaging, simple.. just fun. I loved it. I updated to a 9.
